Climate
change is a global concern which is associated with
primary energy usage from non renewable energy sources
like coal, oil, gas and uranium, energy content from
these sources before it’s conversion to other forms of
energy is called primary energy.
Renewable energy sources are Sun,Wind and Water, energy
gained from theses sources
Is free from GHG (CO2) emission.
The concept of primary Energy consumption is frequently
used only for energy consumption from non renewable
energy sources on an average 3KWh of primary energy is
used to produce 1KWh of electricity and its consumption
is directly associated with the GHG (CO2) emission.
The impact of GHG (CO2) emission is a great concern on
global climate change. Therefore challenge of today is
to reduce energy reliance from non renewable sources
using energy efficient methods and increase energy
production from renewable sources. |
