CDM Projects
Eco Energy Rating Ltd has developed a platform to act as an interface between Hosts and investing partners. Here we have described the initial procedure based on six steps between the both parties.
01. Develop a CDM Project activity.
02.
Approval by the Host & Investing Parties.
03.
Validation and registration of the CDM project activities.
04.
Monitoring of the CDM project.
05.
Verification, certification & Issuance of CER’s.
06.
Distribution of CER’s.

01. Develop a CDM Project activity
Consider various conditions associated with developing a CDM project activity from the project planning stage.
Draft a Project Design Document (CDM-PDD) with all required elements.

02. Approval by the Host & Investing Parties
Project participants obtain written approval of voluntary participation from the Designated National Authority (DNA) of each Party involved regarding the project activity that project participants wish to implement as a CDM project activity.
Project participants should confirm with the host and investing parties regarding the approval process.

03. Validation and registration of the CDM project activities.
In order to go through validation, project participants should use the methodologies approved by the EB. If no approved methodology can apply to the proposed project activity, project participants must propose a new methodology for the project and have it approved by the EB.
Validation is the process of independent evaluation of a project activity by a DOE, selected by the project participants, against the requirements of the CDM on the basis of the project design document (CDM-PDD)
Registration is the formal acceptance of a validated project as a CDM project activity.

04. Monitoring of the CDM project.
Project participants implement the CDM project activity and carry out proper monitoring necessary for calculation of GHG emission reductions, in accordance with the monitoring plan written in the PDD.

05. Verification, certification & Issuance of CER’s.
Project participants report to the DOE the results of monitoring of the CDM project activity and calculated emission reductions based on the results of monitoring activity.
DOE verifies the results of monitoring and the resulting emission reductions.
DOE certifies the emission reductions based on the results of verification.
The EB issues CERs equal to the verified amount of GHG emission reductions.
It is possible for a project activity, which met certain conditions, to have CERs issued for emission reductions starting as of the year 2000.

06. Distribution of CER’s.
2% of the CERs will be deducted as the share of proceeds to assist developing country parties that are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change.
The share of proceeds to cover administrative expensed to the CDM will be deducted.
Remainders of the CERs are to be distributed among project participants.
